Bird Cage – Cards and Pockets

Please note I am a proud affiliate of Cards and Pockets and this post contains affiliate links. I will be compensated by Cards and Pockets for any purchase you make after clicking. No worries however as it costs you nothing. Enjoy!

I am very excited about this affiliate because when I was designing and making invitations, Cards and Pockets was my go to for my supplies. I would even get the invitations printed from them so it was a one stop shop for my supplies and printing. It has been a while since I have used them since closing the custom design part of my business so it was nice to go back to their site. As always there is so many stuff I wanted there and noticed that they have pre-designed invitations now. You just buy the pieces that you want .

I saw Bird Cage and feel in love with it. Everything from the Save the Date to the Thank you card. Color theme includes Shiny Blue Pocket, Jade invitation backing and envelopes in Real Grey. You can customize your text right from their design editor on their website.

Here are some samples of what this style has. For more information or to order please click on your favorite item below.

Paper and more – DIY Supplies

I have to admit I am a paper fanatic.  I was pretty bummed when I decided to close my own little invitation business because I knew I would miss all the paper. There is just something about the colours and textures that I loved.

I was looking for a company to affiliate with that had product that was similar to what I used for my clients and I was happy when I found Paper and More since they have such a great selection.

Paperandmore.com

I am in love with pocket invites and pearlescent metallic colours.  These two were my biggest requests when dealing with clients.  Since so many people are so crafty I thought I would share Paper and More and their products to help you make your own invitations.

I have selected what I think are the must haves for your perfect wedding invitation.  Feel free to click the links to get further information and pricing. **This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links

 Must Haves:

 A7 Himalaya Pocket Invites.

Popular Colours

Champagne

Onyx Black

Steel Gray

Aqua Lagoon

Colours that I wish I had gotten to use

 Gold Vine Leaves

Black brocade on Pearl

Brown Bubble Swirl

Cardstock

Use your wedding accent colour as a layer to mount your invitation part on.

 Belly Bands

belly_band_and_monogram

Hold everything in place with a belly band in the colour of your inside accent colour, or add a pattern.

Monogram Square

Top off the classiness of the invitation you created with a monogram square.  Again with your accent colour or be fun and add another colour!

Envelopes

Don’t forget the envelope for both your invitation and your response card.  Match your pocketfold or again be a little fun and make your envelope a fun colour.

Here’s a tip from learning from my own mistakes.  If you do not have a laser printer metallic paper will not work in a inkjet.  The ink does not work well with the paper and smudges or looks really faint.

If possible budget to get your invitations and envelopes printed from Pockets and more especially if using metallic papers.  It will save you headaches, trust me!

Paper and More Affiliate

We are very excited to announce that we have affiliated with Paper and More.

We decided we want to get together with them as we were looking for a place that had a wonderful selection on paper and pocket invites for our DIY couples out there.

Since getting away from doing custom invites I totally  miss ordering all this stuff, so I am glad to share you some good quality stuff for your project.

Being a proud affiliate I may be compensated by them for your purchase.

Click on the banner below to go check them out!  Love all the paper colours!
